When did you realize you wanted to share your passion/skill?

When I first opened my gallery 4 years ago. But long before that- when I was about 18 I helped my grandmother clean out my Great Uncle Hugh’s things- he always had an interest in the occult and I found his tarot cards on top of the garbage. They were in the original box, from an occult shop on S. State- probably in the 1940’s. I asked my Grandmother why she was throwing them out, she had no idea how they ended up in the garbage and told me to take them. I feel like it was a sign from him. I still feel a deep connection to that deck and my Uncle – and that is when I really started reading tarot. It has been about 30 years.

Did you go to school for your craft or teach yourself?

I have a master’s degree in Education but learned Tarot myself, and through our tarot community in the store. I still struggle with what is actually happening, I don’t feel I am special. I feel there is something magical in the randomness of the cards, etc.
