Adam is a transplant originally from Cleveland. He is a 28-year-old Art Director, Designer and Illustrator with a passion for travel, the outdoors, and donuts. He concentrates on bringing brands to life with lettering, typography, and illustration. An avid traveler and outdoorsman, Adam’s work is oftentimes a clear derivative of his adventures. Adam has spent 18 of the last 36 months traveling and drawing, and he has been tired for about four years.

When did you realize you wanted to share your passion/skill?

I had the privilege of teaching two workshops at SXSW in Spring 2017. This terrified me, but it was simultaneously a very rewarding experience.

Did you go to school for your craft or teach yourself?

I received a degree in Visual Communication Design; however, everything I know about lettering is self-taught.

How do you like to spend your weekend?

Half of my weekend creating art, and half of my weekend outside.

What’s your favorite city and why?

Sapa, Vietnam. I spent 7 days volunteering at a school/orphanage and both my experiences there as well as the people I met truly left a lasting impression. Also, Sapa has $1 beers and some of the best food I’ve ever eaten.

Where do you find inspiration?

The outdoors, when traveling, and when talking with interesting people.
